Installation [08/2020 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY NOTE:
- Be sure to support the air conditioning unit assembly when installing it because failure to do so may cause the bracket of the air conditioning unit assembly to break.
- When installing the air conditioning unit assembly, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.
- Temporarily install the instrument panel reinforcement assembly with air conditioning unit assembly wit the 3 bolts.
Bolt E
Torque: 16 N*m (163 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf)
- Install the instrument panel reinforcement assembly with air conditioning unit assembly.
- for Passenger Side:
Install the 2 nuts.
Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf)
- for Passenger Side:
Using a 12 mm hexagon wrench, install the 2 collars.
- for Passenger Side:
Using a T40 "TORX" socket, install the 2 "TORX" bolts.
Bolt A
Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)
- for Driver Side:
Using a T40 "TORX" socket, install the 2 "TORX" bolts.
Bolt B
Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)
- for Driver Side:
Install the bolt.
Bolt C
Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)
- for Engine Room Side:
Install the bolt.
Bolt D
Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
- for Engine Room Side:
Install the grommet.

- for Passenger Side:
- TIGHTEN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING HOSE AND ACCESSORY (w/ Cool Box)
- Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the air conditioning hose and accessory.

ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
*a Correct *b Incorrect - Install the air conditioning hose and accessory with the piping clamp.NOTE:
After connection, check the claw engagement of the piping clamp.
- Install the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf)
- Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the air conditioning hose and accessory.
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD CAP
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
- INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL NO. 3 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL HEATER TO RESISTOR DUCT ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER TO RESISTOR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL CENTER HEATER TO RESISTOR DUCT
- INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND BRACKET
Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2015 - ]
- CONNECT HEATER WATER HOSE INLET A
- CONNECT HEATER WATER HOSE OUTLET A
- CONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY
- Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tubes.
- Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surface of the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
Compressor oil
ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
- Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
- Connect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
- Attach the plate as shown in the illustration and install the bolt.
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 47 in.*lbf)
- Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tubes.
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
Refer to CHECK MODE PROCEDURE [09/2015 - ]
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

- WARM UP ENGINE

- INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAKS

- INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT GAS LEAK

- INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

- INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
