Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a T30H "TORX" driver, remove the 2 "TORX" screws.

    2. Pull the back door garnish retainer sub-assembly toward the rear of the vehicle to detach the 2 clips to remove it.
    3. Disconnect the connector.

  3. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 7 screws and remove the No. 1 back door garnish retainer.

    2. Disconnect the license plate light:

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure to disconnect the license plate light on the other side.

      1. Remove the screw.

      2. Raise the license plate light upward to disconnect it from the No. 1 back door garnish retainer.

    3. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    4. Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

    5. Disconnect the grommet to remove the license plate light assembly.
