Removal [10/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2020 - 11/2021]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021]

  5. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL BRACKET (w/o Advanced Drive) 
    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.
      NOTE:

      Do not touch the terminal of the kick door control sensor connector.

    2. Remove the 3 screws.

      Screw Clip
    3. Remove the 3 clips.
    4. Detach the claw and remove the kick door control bracket together with the kick door control sensor as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction - -
  6. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL BRACKET (w/ Advanced Drive) 
    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.

    2. Detach the claw.

    3. Detach the clamp.

      *a Lock
      Slide Direction
    4. Slide the lock as shown in the illustration and disconnect the connector.
      NOTE:

      Do not touch the terminal of the kick door control sensor connector.

    5. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove in this Direction
    6. Detach the claws and pull off the No. 3 luggage room wire from the kick door control bracket as shown in the illustration.
    7. Detach the clamp.

      Remove in this Direction Screw
      Clip - -
    8. Remove the 2 clips.
    9. Remove the 4 screws and kick door control bracket together with the kick door control sensor as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Remove while passing through the wire harness of the rear LiDAR advanced drive sensor assembly.

  7. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR (w/o Advanced Drive) 
    1. Detach the claw and guide and disconnect the antenna cable in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the blue wire and black wire from the kick door control bracket.
      NOTE:
      • Do not pull strongly on the wire.
      • Do not twist the wire.

    3. Remove the screw.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    4. Detach the guide and remove the kick door control sensor from the kick door control bracket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:
      • Do not subject the kick door control sensor to strong impacts or force, and do not drop it.
      • Do not reuse a kick door control sensor which has been subjected to an impact or dropped.
  8. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR (w/ Advanced Drive) 
    1. Detach the claw and guide and disconnect the antenna cable in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the red wire and black wire from the kick door control bracket.
      NOTE:
      • Do not pull strongly on the wire.
      • Do not twist the wire.

    3. Remove the screw.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    4. Detach the guide and remove the kick door control sensor from the kick door control bracket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:
      • Do not subject the kick door control sensor to strong impacts or force, and do not drop it.
      • Do not reuse a kick door control sensor which has been subjected to an impact or dropped.
