Removal [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2023 - ]

    • If the DC/DC converter cooling blower assembly is dropped or subjected to any strong impact during removal & reinstallation, replace it with a new part.
    • When holding the blower, do not lift up the blower by the wire harness.
    • Do not touch the fan inside the blower.
    • Make sure foreign matter does not enter the intake and exhaust ports.

    • Do not leave in a state with the intake and exhaust ports facing upward.
  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  7. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the front luggage compartment trim cover (w/o Advanced Drive).

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  8. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ] 

  9. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  10. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  11. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  12. REMOVE DC/DC CONVERTER COOLING EXHAUST DUCT 

    See step  12

  13. REMOVE DC/DC CONVERTER COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY W/CONVERTER COOLING BLOWER BRACKET 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and DC/DC converter cooling blower assembly w/converter cooling blower bracket.

  14. REMOVE DC/DC CONVERTER COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and DC/DC converter cooling blower assembly from the converter cooling blower bracket.
