DTC B1508-19: Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Circuit Current Above Threshold [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH and side turn signal light LH does not blink. A
      Front turn signal light RH and side turn signal light RH does not blink. B
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink. C
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink. D

  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the A130 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

  5. CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH 
    1. Disconnect the H31 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. *1: w/ Front LiDAR Sensor
    2. *2: w/o Front LiDAR Sensor
    1. Disconnect the G161*1 or G208*2 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A130 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the H31 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W/ FRONT LIDAR SENSOR

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G161-5 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W/O FRONT LIDAR SENSOR

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G208-5 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  7. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs

  8. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the headlight unit assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    2. Reconnect the A130 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    Result:

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  9. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

  10. CHECK OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the z38 outer mirror actuator assembly LH connector.
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC B1508-19 is output. A
      DTC B1507-18 is output. B

    1. Disconnect the A131 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.

    1. *1: w/ Front LiDAR Sensor
    2. *2: w/o Front LiDAR Sensor
    1. Disconnect the G161*1 or G208*2 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A131 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the H12 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W/ FRONT LIDAR SENSOR

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G161-6 (LR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W/O FRONT LIDAR SENSOR

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G208-6 (LR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  17. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

  18. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the headlight unit assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - ]

  20. CHECK OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the z37 outer mirror actuator assembly RH connector.
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

      G161-22 (TRNL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
