VSC does not Operate or VSC does not Operate Correctly [10/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

1. Check whether the slip indicator light was illuminated when VSC did not operate.

   OK

   The slip indicator light was illuminated.

   HINT: 

   When a DTC is stored, the slip indicator light is illuminated and VSC does not operate due to the fail-safe function.

2. Check whether the vehicle speed was 15 km/h (9 mph) or less when VSC did not operate.

   OK

   The vehicle speed was 15 km/h (9 mph) or less.

   HINT: 

   VSC does not operate when the vehicle speed is 15 km/h (9 mph) or less.

3. Check whether the vehicle was driven straight for a few seconds at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.

   OK

   The vehicle was not driven straight for a few seconds at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.

   HINT: 

   When the power switch is turned on (IG), as steering sensor zero point calibration is not performed below 35 km/h (22 mph), VSC will not operate until the vehicle is driven straight for a few seconds at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the power switch off.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
4. Check the DTCs (electronically controlled brake system) that are output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes
