Removal [10/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.
Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 10/2020]
NOTE:After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
WARNING:- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- SRS parts are equipped with a backup power source. If work is started within 90 seconds of turning the power switch off and disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, SRS parts may deploy.
NOTE:After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
- Place your hand in the position shown in the illustration and lift the rear seat cushion assembly LH in the removal direction and detach the hook.
Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction NOTE:- Detach each hook individually.
- When the hook is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.
- Detach the fastening tape.
Fastening Tape - Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.
Rear Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly LH Connector - Disconnect the connector of the rear seat cushion airbag assembly LH.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.
*a Housing Lock *b CPA NOTE:- Do not pull while holding the wire harness.
- Do not try to release the lock while holding down the top of the CPA (A in the illustration), as this prevents the lock from being released.
- Slide the yellow CPA while pushing down the white housing lock again, and disconnect the connector.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.
- Using a clip remover, detach the clip.
- w/ Refresh Seat:
- Remove the rear seat cushion assembly LH.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear seat cushion assembly LH, body and body interior.
- Place your hand in the position shown in the illustration and lift the rear seat cushion assembly LH in the removal direction and detach the hook.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
- Slide the rear center seat lap type belt assembly RH.
- Place your hand in the position shown in the illustration and lift the rear center seat cushion assembly in the removal direction and detach the hook.
Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction NOTE:When the hook is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.
- Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the hook.
Remove in this Direction - Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.
- Remove the rear center seat cushion assembly.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear center seat cushion assembly, body and body interior.
- Slide the rear center seat lap type belt assembly RH.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK NOTE:
- If the rear seat cushion hook is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.
- Do not reuse the rear seat cushion lock hook after removing it.
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the other side.
- REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the cap.
Protective Tape - Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, press the button to release the lock and remove the belt band.
Remove in this Direction Protective Tape - Remove the bolt and floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH.
- Remove the nut and floor anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly.
- Detach the belt band.
- Remove the bolt and lift the connector holder.
Rear Seat Airbag Assembly LH Connector Rear Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly LH Connector - Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Disconnect the connector of the rear seat airbag assembly LH.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.
*a Housing Lock *b CPA NOTE:- Do not pull while holding the wire harness.
- Do not try to release the lock while holding down the top of the CPA (A in the illustration), as this prevents the lock from being released.
- Slide the yellow CPA while pushing down the white housing lock again, and disconnect the connector.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.
- Disconnect the connector of the rear seat cushion airbag assembly LH.
- Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- Detach the wire harness clamp.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly LH from the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.
- Lift in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly LH from the No. 2 seat reclining adjuster assembly.
- Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the rear seatback assembly LH.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear seatback assembly LH, body and body interior.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the cap.
- REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the cap.
Protective Tape - Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, press the button to release the lock and remove the belt band.
Remove in this Direction Protective Tape - Remove the bolt and floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly RH.
- Detach the belt band.
- Remove the bolt and lift the connector holder.
Rear Seat Airbag Assembly RH Connector Rear Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly RH Connector - Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Disconnect the connector of the rear seat airbag assembly RH.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.

- Do not try to release the lock while holding down the top of the CPA (A in the illustration), as this prevents the lock from being released.
- Slide the yellow CPA while pushing down the white housing lock again, and disconnect the connector.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.
- Disconnect the connector of the rear seat cushion airbag assembly RH.
- w/o Ottoman:
*A w/ Ottoman - Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- w/ Ottoman:
- Disconnect the 5 connectors.
- Detach the wire harness clamp.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Pull in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly RH from the No. 1 rear seat adjuster assembly.
- Lift in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly RH from the No. 1 seat reclining adjuster assembly.
- Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove rear seatback assembly RH.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear seatback assembly RH, body and body interior.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the cap.
- REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY
*A w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System:
- Disconnect the connector.
- w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Detach the clamp and remove the connector holder.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Using a clip remover, detach the clip and fold back the armrest cover.
- Remove the 2 nuts and rear center seat armrest assembly.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear seat center armrest assembly, body and body interior.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
- REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
- REMOVE ROOM PARTITION BOARD ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the nut.
Remove in this Direction - Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the clip and claw.
- Detach the claw and guide and remove the belt guides of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH and rear center seat outer belt assembly.
- Pull the rear seat outer belt assembly LH and rear center seat outer belt assembly out of the room partition board assembly LH and remove the room partition board assembly LH.
Remove in this Direction
- Remove the nut.
- REMOVE ROOM PARTITION BOARD ASSEMBLY RH
- Remove the nut.
Remove in this Direction - Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the clip and claw.
- Detach the claw and guide and remove the belt guide of the rear seat outer belt assembly RH.
- Pull the rear seat outer belt assembly RH out of the room partition board assembly RH and remove the room partition board assembly RH.
Remove in this Direction
- Remove the nut.
- REMOVE NO. 2 EV BATTERY INTAKE DUCT

- REMOVE CENTER ROOM PARTITION GARNISH ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
