Removal [10/2022 - 10/2023]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
- After the engine switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions and same capacity or more from the same class at a 20-hour rate.
- After replacing the battery, install the ventilation hole plug supplied with the new battery or the ventilation hole plug from the old battery to the ventilation hole on the side to which the battery hose is not connected.
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25
- REMOVE TOOL BOX
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE BATTERY
- Detach the claw and disconnect the battery terminal cap.
- Disconnect the clamp spring assembly of the positive (+) battery terminal from the battery.
Disconnect clamp spring assembly in this direction - Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
- Remove the 2 nuts and battery clamp sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the battery exhaust hose from the battery.
- Remove the battery.
- Lift up and pull the battery along the slope to remove it as shown in the illustration.
Lift and pull in this direction *a Slope
- Detach the claw and disconnect the battery terminal cap.
