DTC B15C1-11: GNSS Antenna Circuit Short to Ground; DTC B15C1-13: GNSS Antenna Circuit Open [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds.

      Procedure1

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Telematics > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to

      Post-procedure1

    3. None

    Result:

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2023 - ]

  3. INSPECT TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA (FOR ROOF SIDE)

    1. Remove the telephone and GPS antenna (for roof side).

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 - 2a Always 4 to 11 kΩ

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    3. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA (ROOF ANTENNA ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    OK

  4. INSPECT TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA CORD (ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY [FLOOR]) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the antenna connector from the telephone and GPS antenna (for roof side).

      (to Telephone and GPS Antenna [for Roof Side])

      (to Wire Harness)
    2. Disconnect the antenna connector from the wire harness.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-2 - G153-[2] (ANT2) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-2a - G153-[2a] Always Below 1 Ω
      A-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

    4. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA CORD (ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY [FLOOR]). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY [FLOOR] - DCM [TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER])

    1. Disconnect the antenna connector from the antenna cord sub-assembly (floor).

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Antenna Cord Sub-assembly [Floor])
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to DCM [Telematics Transceiver])
    2. Disconnect the antenna connector from the DCM (telematics transceiver).

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G153-2 (ANT2) - G176-1 (ANT2) Always Below 1 Ω
      G153-[2a] - G176-[1a] Always Below 1 Ω
      G153-2 (ANT2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. None

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  6. CHECK TELEPHONE AND GPS ANTENNA (FOR ROOF SIDE) 
    1. Replace the telephone and GPS antenna (for roof side) with a known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  7. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Telematics > Clear DTCs

    1. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes

  9. REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver).

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

      NOTE:
      • The ignition switch must be off.
      • Do not exchange the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.
