DTC B153C: HDMI Disconnected (from RSE to Blu-ray Disc Player) [12/2017 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2022]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B153C is not output.

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  3. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTOR 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the multi-display controller sub-assembly and disc player assembly.

      OK

      Connectors are properly connected.

    CONNECT CONNECTORS PROPERLY

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER SUB-ASSEMBLY - DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the L164 multi-display controller sub-assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the L162 disc player assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L164-1 (TM2+) - L162-1 (TM2+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-2 (TM2G) - L162-2 (TM2G) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-3 (TM2-) - L162-3 (TM2-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-4 (TM1+) - L162-4 (TM1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-5 (TM1G) - L162-5 (TM1G) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-6 (TM1-) - L162-6 (TM1-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-7 (TM0+) - L162-7 (TM0+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-8 (TM0G) - L162-8 (TM0G) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-9 (TM0-) - L162-9 (TM0-) Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Clear the DTCs.
