No. 1 Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Advanced Parking Guidance/ICS/Intuitive P/A / Active Test.
    5. Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

      Body Electrical > Advanced Parking Guidance/ICS/Intuitive P/A > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Front Buzzer No. 1 clearance warning buzzer Operate or Stop Confirm that the vehicle is stopped and the engine switch is on (IG)

      Body Electrical > Advanced Parking Guidance/ICS/Intuitive P/A > Active Test

      OK

      The No. 1 clearance warning buzzer sounds.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [12/2017 - 10/2020]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER) 
    1. Disconnect the L18 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G38 No. 1 clearance warning buzzer connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L18-14 (CBZ) - G38-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L18-13 (EF) - G38-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L18-14 (CBZ) or G38-1 (Z+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L18-13 (EF) or G38-2 (Z-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. REPLACE NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER 
    1. Replace the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Advanced Parking Guidance/ICS/Intuitive P/A / Active Test.
    5. Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

      Body Electrical > Advanced Parking Guidance/ICS/Intuitive P/A > Active Test
