Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone (X204C) [09/2018 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK) 
    1. Using the Techstream, perform the Health Check.

      Result

      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result:

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer To  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or Refer To  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2020 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    A

  2. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE SENSOR 
    1. Perform zero point calibration of the acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor).

      Refer to CALIBRATION [09/2018 - 10/2023]

      Chassis > Brake > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Reset Memory

      Chassis > Brake > Utility 

      Tester Display

  3. CLEAR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY 
    1. Using the Techstream, clear the Vehicle Control History.

  4. CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY 
    1. Perform a road test under the same malfunction conditions recreated based on the Freeze Frame Data or customer problem analysis.
    2. Using the Techstream, check for Vehicle Control History.

  5. CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR INSTALLATION 
    1. Check that the acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) has been installed properly.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - 10/2023]

      OK

      The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.

      The sensor is not installed in a tilted position.

    INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR CORRECTLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  INSTALLATION [10/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  INSTALLATION [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Select the Data List using the Techstream.

    REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2023]
