DTC C1240: Yaw Rate Sensor Discrimination [12/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

1. Check that the part number of the installed acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) is correct.

   OK

   Acceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) installed in the vehicle has the correct part number.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018] 

Result: 

OK 

See step  2

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 09/2018]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the engine switch off.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
4. Check if the same DTC is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 09/2018]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   DTC C1240 is output.	A
   DTC C1240 is not output.	B
