Steering Pad Switch Circuit [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [10/2023 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Remove the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

2. Inspect the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [12/2017 - ]

   Result

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

OK

1. Disconnect the G208 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the G27 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G208-29 (MSM+) - G27-11 (+DP)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G208-12 (MSTI) - G27-10 (+DP2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G208-29 (MSM+) - Other terminals and body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G208-12 (MSTI) - Other terminals and body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G27-4 (EAU) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Disconnect the G27 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   G27-11 (+DP) - Body ground	Always	4.3 to 5.2 V

   Result
