Removal [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION

    Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [05/2023 - ]

    NOTE:

    After turning engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [05/2023 - ]

  2. CUSTOMIZE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [05/2023 - ]

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [05/2023 - ]

    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [05/2023 - ]

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and meter mirror sub-assembly.

      Bolt
      Connector
    2. Disconnect the connector.
