DTC B163A/3A: Side Airbag Sensor Assembly No. 2 (LH) [03/2017 - 04/2020]: Description
The side collision sensor LH circuit consists of the airbag ECU assembly, door side airbag sensor LH, side airbag sensor assembly LH and rear airbag sensor LH.
The door side airbag sensor LH, side airbag sensor assembly LH and rear airbag sensor LH detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the airbag ECU assembly to determine if the airbags and pretensioners should be deployed.
DTC B163A/3A is stored when a malfunction is detected in the side airbag sensor assembly LH.
