DTC C1380/15: Stop Light Control Relay Malfunction [03/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (POWER INTEGRATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - ]

      Body Electrical > Power Integration No. 3 > Trouble Codes 

      HINT: 

      If there is a malfunction in the No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU, integration relay system DTCs may also have been detected. Check the integration relay system first.

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STOP LIGHT INPUT SIGNAL, STOP LIGHT OUTPUT SIGNAL, STOP LIGHT SW AND STOP LIGHT RELAY) 
    1. Using the Techstream, check the Data List "Stop Light Input Signal", "Stop Light Output Signal", "Stop Light SW" and "Stop Light Relay" with the brake pedal operated.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (STOP LIGHT RELAY) 
    1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Active Test.
    2. Perform "Active Test" according to the display on the Techstream.

  5. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - 09/2018]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

    2. Perform "Active Test" according to the display on the Techstream.

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Active Test

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023] 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 3 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the A10 skid control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the X99 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A10-16 (STP) - X99-10 (STP) Always Below 1 Ω
      A10-16 (STP) or X99-10(STP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (RADAR CRUISE INPUT SIGNAL, STOP LIGHT OUTPUT SIGNAL, STOP LIGHT RELAY AND STOP LIGHT RELAY OUTPUT) 
    1. Using the Techstream, check the Data List "Radar Cruise Input Signal", "Stop Light Output Signal", "Stop Light Relay" and "Stop Light Relay Output" with the brake pedal operated.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  18. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STOP LIGHT OUTPUT SIGNAL AND STATUS OF STOP LIGHT FUSE) 
    1. Disconnect the A9 skid control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Using the Techstream, check the Data List "Stop Light Output Signal" and "Status of Stop Light Fuse" with the brake pedal operated.

    1. Disconnect the A10 skid control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the X99 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
