DTC C1365: Accumulator Pressure Sensor [09/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.
    2. Disconnect the A8 skid control ECU assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the A7 brake actuator assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-8 (E) - A7-14 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-8 (E) or A7-14 (E) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-9 (VCM) - A7-10 (VCM) Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-9 (VCM) or A7-10 (VCM) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-21 (PAC1) - A7-15 (PAC1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-21 (PAC1) or A7-15 (PAC1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-31 (PCK1) - A7-12 (PCK1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-31 (PCK1) or A7-12 (PCK1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (SENSOR POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT) 
    1. Reconnect the A8 skid control ECU assembly connector.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Skid Control ECU Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the A7 brake actuator assembly connector.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-9 (VCM) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 4.75 to 5.25 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (SENSOR INPUT) 
    1. Depress the brake pedal to operate the pump motor, and then check that the pump motor stops.

      (Skid Control ECU Assembly)
      NOTE:

      Do not depress the brake pedal until the pump motor stops and the voltage check is finished in order to maintain the accumulator pressure.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-21 (PAC1) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG), after pump motor operates and stops by pedal operation 3 to 4.7 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE SENSOR) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Select the Data List on the Techstream.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [05/2023 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Data List

      Accumulator Sensor Accumulator pressure sensor Min.: 0.00 V, Max.: 5.00 V Specified value: 2.60 to 3.80 V When brake fluid is stored in the accumulator: Accumulator pressure changes in accordance with volume of fluid stored in the accumulator

    5. Depress the brake pedal 4 or 5 times and operate the pump motor.
    6. Wait for 30 seconds without depressing the brake pedal.
    7. Check that the accumulator pressure sensor output value change is within the specified range.

      OK

      Accumulator pressure sensor output value change is less than 0.20 V.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2018 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the engine switch off.
    3. Start the engine.
    4. Perform a road test.
    5. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2018 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1365 is output. A
      DTC C1365 is not output. B

    Result: 

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result:
