DTC C1315/31: SMC1 Changeover Solenoid Malfunction; DTC C1316/32: SMC2 Changeover Solenoid Malfunction; DTC C1352/21: Front Increasing Pressure Solenoid RH Malfunction; DTC C1353/23: Front Increasing Pressure Solenoid LH Malfunction; DTC C1354/25: Rear Increasing Pressure Solenoid RH Malfunction; DTC C1355/27: Rear Increasing Pressure Solenoid LH Malfunction; DTC C1356/22: Front Decreasing Pressure Solenoid RH Malfunction; DTC C1357/24: Front Decreasing Pressure Solenoid LH Malfunction; DTC C1358/26: Rear Decreasing Pressure Solenoid RH Malfunction; DTC C1359/28: Rear Decreasing Pressure Solenoid LH Malfunction [03/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

      (Brake Actuator Assembly)
      - -
    2. Disconnect the A7 brake actuator assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      HINT: 

      Check the brake actuator assembly when it is cooled down.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      37 (SMC1) - 36 (BS1) Always 15.3 to 17.3 Ω
      37 (SMC1) or 36 (BS1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      19 (SMC2) - 20 (BS2) Always 15.3 to 17.3 Ω
      19 (SMC2) or 20 (BS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      44 (FRA+) - 43 (FRA-) Always 3.6 to 4.2 Ω
      44 (FRA+) or 43 (FRA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      35 (FLA+) - 38 (FLA-) Always 3.6 to 4.2 Ω
      35 (FLA+) or 38 (FLA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      39 (RRA+) - 40 (RRA-) Always 3.6 to 4.2 Ω
      39 (RRA+) or 40 (RRA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.
    2. Disconnect the A11 and A8 skid control ECU assembly connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-26 (RLA+) - A7-41 (RLA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-26 (RLA+) or A7-41 (RLA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A8-27 (RLA-) - A7-42 (RLA-) Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-27 (RLA-) or A7-42 (RLA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A11-26 (RRA+) - A7-39 (RRA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A11-26 (RRA+) or A7-39 (RRA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A11-27 (RRA-) - A7-40 (RRA-) Always Below 1 Ω
      A11-27 (RRA-) or A7-40 (RRA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Reconnect the A11 and A8 skid control ECU assembly connectors.
    2. Reconnect the A7 brake actuator assembly connector.
    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - 09/2018]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

    4. Turn the engine switch off.
    5. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    6. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - 09/2018]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs C1315/31, C1316/32, C1352/21, C1353/23, C1354/25, C1355/27, C1356/ 22, C1357/24, C1358/26 and C1359/28 are not output. A
      DTCs C1315/31, C1316/32, C1352/21, C1353/23, C1354/25, C1355/27, C1356/ 22, C1357/24, C1358/26 and/or C1359/28 are output. B
