Removal [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  6. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  7. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  8. REMOVE INNER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  9. REMOVE NO. 3 DECK BOARD BRACKET 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 3 deck board bracket as shown in the illustration.
  10. REMOVE SPOILER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut and spoiler control ECU assembly from the No. 3 deck board bracket as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  11. REMOVE NO. 1 COMPUTER BRACKET 
    1. Detach the claw and remove the spoiler control ECU assembly as shown in the illustration.
