Luggage Compartment Door Opener does not Operate Using Cabin Switch [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [03/2017 - ] 

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

      The No. 3 combination switch assembly (luggage door opening switch) functions as specified in the normal condition column.

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. INSPECT NO. 3 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH) 
    1. Remove the No. 3 combination switch assembly (luggage door opening switch).

      Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]

    2. Inspect the No. 3 combination switch assembly (luggage door opening switch).

      Refer to INSPECTION [03/2017 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 3 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH). Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 3 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY [LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH] - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P63 No. 3 combination switch assembly (luggage door opening switch) connector.
    2. Disconnect the P9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P63-3 (B) - P9-4 (TSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      P63-13 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P63-3 (B) or P9-4 (TSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
