Installation [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (FRONT SEATBACK HEATER) (for Standard Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    When installing a separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater), refer to Precaution in order to prevent wrinkles from forming.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - ]

    1. Set the separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater) on the separate type front seatback pad.
    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater) to the separate type front seatback pad with 9 new hog rings in the order indicated in the illustration.

      *a Hog Ring Pliers - -
      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater).
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater).
    3. Pass the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover(front seatback heater) through the hole on the separate type front seatback pad.

      Install in this Direction
  2. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER LH (FRONT SEATBACK HEATER) (for Sports Seat Type) 
    1. Set the front seatback pad with cover LH(front seatback heater) on the front seatback frame sub-assembly LH.
    2. Attach the wire harness clamp.

      *a Bracket
    3. Install the bracket with a new nut.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Be sure to wrap the front seat airbag assembly LH with the bracket when installing.
      • Check that the band is not twisted after installing the bracket.
      • If the bracket is not securely installed, the front seat airbag assembly LH may not deploy properly. For this reason, the bracket must be securely installed.
    4. Close the fasteners and insert them into the pockets.

    5. Attach the hooks.

  3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [04/2020 - ]

  4. INSTALL FRONT UPPER SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [04/2020 - ]

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (for Standard Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41 [04/2020 - ]

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (for Sports Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42 [04/2020 - ]

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (FRONT SEATBACK HEATER) (for Standard Seat Type) 
    1. Push in the installation direction shown in the illustration to attach the hooks and temporarily install the front seatback sub-assembly LH(front seatback heater).

      Install in this Direction
    2. Fold back the separate type front seatback cover.

    3. Attach the fastening tape.

    4. Pass the hooks through the hole on the separate type front seatback cover.
    5. Attach the hooks.

    6. Fold back the front upper seatback cover sub-assembly LH and install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

    7. Fold back the front upper seatback cover sub-assembly LH and install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

    8. Fold back the front upper seatback cover sub-assembly LH and install the bolt.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

    9. Return the front upper seatback cover sub-assembly LH.
    10. Pass the wire harness of the front seatback sub-assembly LH(front seatback heater) through the hole on the separate type front seatback cover.

      Install in this Direction
    11. Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.
    12. Attach the hooks.
    13. Return the separate type front seatback cover and close the fasteners.

  8. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [04/2020 - ]

  9. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 47 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 [04/2020 - ]

  10. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 48 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 47 [04/2020 - ]

  11. INSTALL LH SEAT FRONT OUTER SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR 

    See step  13

  12. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 50 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 49 [04/2020 - ]

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57 [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 56 [04/2020 - ]

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  15. INITIALIZATION OF SEAT ECU 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  16. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK (for Front Passenger Seat) 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - ]
