Inspection [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Seat) 
    1. Check the operation of the slide motor.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Slide Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH))
      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Forward
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4        		 Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Seat)

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Reclining Motor (Front Seatback Frame Sub-assembly LH))

      Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      1. Check that the front seatback frame sub-assembly LH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4        		 Forward
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seatback frame sub-assembly LH.

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Driver Seat, for Standard Seat Type)

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Front Seat Headrest Assembly)

      Check the operation of the front seat headrest assembly.

      1. Check that the front seat headrest assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the front seat headrest assembly connector terminals.

        OK

        Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4        		 Upward
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Downward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat headrest assembly.

  4. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Seat) 
    1. Check the operation of the slide motor.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Slide Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly RH))
      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Forward
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4        		 Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.

  5. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Seat)

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Reclining Motor (Front Seatback Frame Sub-assembly RH))

      Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      1. Check that the front seatback frame sub-assembly RH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4        		 Forward
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seatback frame sub-assembly RH.

  6. INSPECT FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Seat, for Standard Seat Type)

      (Front Seat Headrest Assembly)

      Check the operation of the front seat headrest assembly.

      1. Check that the front seat headrest assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the front seat headrest assembly connector terminals.

        OK

        Battery Connection Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4        		 Upward
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Downward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat headrest assembly.
