Removal [03/2017 - 04/2020]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the 7 connectors.

    2. Detach the clamps and remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.
  3. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR

      Detach the claws and remove rear corner ultrasonic sensor.

      NOTE:

      Before removing the sensor, make sure to mark the sensor and rear bumper cover so that each sensor can be returned to its original position.

  4. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 

    HINT: 

    When removing the rear corner ultrasonic sensor retainer, heat the rear bumper assembly and rear corner ultrasonic sensor retainer using a heat light.

    1. Heat the rear bumper assembly and rear corner ultrasonic sensor retainer using a heat light at the specified temperature for 3 to 5 minutes.

      *b Heat Light
      • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
      • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
      • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
    2. Remove the rear corner ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  5. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the rear corner ultrasonic sensor.

  6. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the rear corner ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  7. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the ultrasonic sensor clip, heat the bumper assembly and ultrasonic sensor clip using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the other ultrasonic sensor clips.
    1. Heat the rear bumper assembly and ultrasonic sensor clip using a heat light at the specified temperature for 3 to 5 minutes.

    2. Remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.
