Removal [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [03/2017 - 01/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [01/2021 - 05/2023]

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

  4. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Front Side) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  5. REMOVE ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL MICROPHONE (for Front Side)

      1. Disconnect the connector.
      2. Detach the claws and remove the active noise control microphone.
    2. for Carbon Roof:

      1. Disconnect the connector.
      2. Detach the claws and remove the active noise control microphone.
  6. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Rear Side) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  7. REMOVE ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL MICROPHONE (for Rear Side) 
    1. Detach the claws and remove the active noise control microphone.

  8. REMOVE MICROPHONE WIRE (for Rear Side) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
      NOTE:

      The connectors used on the microphone side and vehicle wire harness side are the same shape. Make sure they are no mixed up when connecting.

      *a Connector color: black (microphone side)
    2. Detach the clamps and remove the microphone wire.
