Hazard Warning Switch Circuit [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [04/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [05/2023 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH) 
    1. Remove the integration control and panel assembly (hazard warning signal switch).

      Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [05/2023 - ]

    2. Inspect the integration control and panel assembly (hazard warning signal switch).

      Refer to INSPECTION [03/2017 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH). Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [05/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY [HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH] - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P84 integration control and panel assembly (hazard warning signal switch) connector.
    2. Disconnect the P26 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P84-6 (HAZ) - P26-2 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      P84-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P84-6 (HAZ) or P26-2 (HZSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
