- Disconnect the back-up light assembly connector.
- CHECK SHIFT CONTROL ECU
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(to No. 3 Semiconductor Power Integration ECU) - Disconnect the No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 3 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU - SHIFT CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the X99 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.
- Disconnect the P74 shift control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition X99-11 (+S) - P74-15 (BL) Always Below 1 Ω X99-11 (+S) or P74-15 (BL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.NOTE:
