Skid Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the skid control ECU assembly connector.

      (to Skid Control ECU Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A9-8 (CA1H) - A9-9 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Result 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU assembly connectors.

      (to Skid Control ECU Assembly)

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-1 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A9-3 (GND2) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A9-1 (GND3) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A10-3 (GND4) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A10-1 (GND5) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A11-3 (GND6) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2020 - 05/2023]

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A9-2 (IG1) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Engine switch off Below 1 V
      A10-5 (IG2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Engine switch off Below 1 V
      A9-4 (+BI1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      A11-5 (+BI2) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      A9-5 (+BI3) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      A11-6 (+BI4) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]
