Installation [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. New article:
      1. Align the joint of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly with the valve plate of the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

        *A for RH Side

      2. Install the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.

        Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    2. Reuse:
      1. Align the joint of the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly with the valve plate of the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. Turn the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      3. Install the 2 exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assemblies with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.

        Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

        NOTE:

        Install the same parts to their original positions.

  2. INSTALL EXHAUST TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 6 exhaust pipe supports to the exhaust tailpipe assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Attach the clamp and connect the 2 connectors as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install 2 new gaskets to the front exhaust pipe assembly of the rear side.

    2. Install 2 new gaskets to the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

    3. Install the front exhaust pipe assembly to the exhaust tailpipe assembly with 4 new nuts and 4 new bolts.

      Torque: 39 N.m (398 kgf/cm, 29 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not reuse the bolt, nut and gasket.

    4. Install the front exhaust pipe assembly to the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH with 4 new nuts and 4 new bolts.

      Torque: 39 N.m (398 kgf/cm, 29 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not reuse the bolt, nut and gasket.

  4. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 
    1. Attach the grommet and install the rear No. 4 bumper side support RH with the 2 screws and 2 clips.

  5. INSTALL REAR NO. 4 BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Attach the grommet and install the rear No. 4 bumper side support LH with the 2 screws and 2 clips.

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Install the No. 1 differential support protector with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR 
    1. Install the No. 2 differential support protector with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

  8. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front center floor brace sub-assembly with the 12 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)

  9. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR CROSS BRACE RH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 floor cross brace RH with the 2 bolts and nut.

      for bolt B

  10. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR CROSS BRACE LH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 floor cross brace LH with the 2 bolts and nut.

  11. INSTALL BODY SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Install the body support bracket sub-assembly RH with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 71 N.m (724 kgf/cm, 52 ft.lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 30 N.m (306 kgf/cm, 22 ft.lbf)

    2. Attach the 2 claws and close the service hole cover of the body rocker panel moulding assembly RH.

    3. Install the engine mounting member plate with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 14 N.m (143 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf)

  12. INSTALL BODY SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the body support bracket sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts and nut.

    2. Attach the 2 claws and close the service hole cover of the body rocker panel moulding assembly LH.

    3. Install the engine mounting member plate with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 14 N.m (143 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf)

  13. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  15. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [05/2023 - ]

  17. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH 
    1. Install the rear floor side member cover RH with the screw, nut, 3 clips and plate washer.

      for nut 

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

  18. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH 
    1. Install the rear floor side member cover LH with the screw, nut, 3 clips and plate washer.

      for nut 

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf)

  19. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 
    1. Attach the 3 grommets and nut and temporarily install the front floor cover RH.

    2. Install the front floor cover RH with the 6 clips and 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  20. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 
    1. Attach the 3 grommets and nut and temporarily install the front floor cover LH.

    2. Install the front floor cover LH with the 6 clips and 4 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  21. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL RH 
    1. Attach the grommet and install the front fender seal RH with the 4 clips and 4 plate washers.

  22. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL LH 
    1. Attach the grommet and install the front fender seal LH with the 4 clips and 4 plate washers.

  23. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    If gas is leaking, tighten the areas necessary to stop the leak. Replace damaged parts as necessary.

    If an exhaust gas leak has been repaired, perform an inspection following the repair.
