Installation [07/2020 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt to the generator assembly.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, temporarily install the generator assembly with the 2 stud bolts.
    3. Tighten the 2 stud bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    4. Install the bolt B and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)

      *1 Engine Wire Bracket
    5. Install the engine wire bracket with the bolt A.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

    6. Install the oil cooler tube bracket with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf/cm, 49 in.lbf) 

    7. Install the oil cooler tube with the bolt.

      Torque: 22 N.m (224 kgf/cm, 16 ft.lbf) 

    8. Connect the generator assembly connector.
    9. Connect the engine wire to the terminal B with the nut.

      Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    10. Install the terminal cap.
    11. Attach the clamp.
    12. Connect the engine wire with the bolt.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    13. Attach the 2 clamps.
  2. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BRACKET BOLT 
    1. Install the bolt and specer nut to the front frame crossmember sub-assembly.

      Torque: 120 N.m (1224 kgf/cm, 89 ft.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - ]

  4. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

  6. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
