Removal [07/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2020 - 05/2023]

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]

  4. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 
    1. Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the guide and remove the navigation antenna assembly with bracket.
  5. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Mayday System:
      1. Detach the claw.

        Remove in this Direction
      2. Detach the guide and remove the navigation antenna assembly in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
    2. w/o Mayday System:
      1. Detach the claw.

        Remove in this Direction
      2. Detach the guide and remove the navigation antenna assembly in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  6. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA BRACKET
