DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit [07/2020 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      RH side Front turn signal light and side turn signal light does not blink. A
      LH side Front turn signal light and side turn signal light does not blink. B
      Side turn signal light assembly (RH side) does not blink. C
      Front turn signal light assembly (RH side) does not blink. D
      Side turn signal light assembly (LH side) does not blink. E
      Front turn signal light assembly (LH side) does not blink. F
      Rear turn signal light assembly (RH side) does not blink. G
      Rear turn signal light assembly (LH side) does not blink. H

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH OR FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH) 
    1. Disconnect the P26 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R9 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector
    3. Disconnect the D5 front turn signal light assembly RH connector
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P26-7 (LR) - D5-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      P26-7 (LR) - R9-20 (TRNI) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH OR FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH) 
    1. Disconnect the P26 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the S9 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector
    3. Disconnect the D6 front turn signal light assembly LH connector
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P26-13 (LL) - D6-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      P26-13 (LL) - S9-20 (TRNI) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P26 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R9 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R9-20 (TRNI) - P26-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      R9-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH 
    1. Remove the front multiplex network door ECU RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (Front Multiplex Network Door ECU RH)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R9-20 (TRNI) - R10-16 (TRN+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R9-1 (GND) - R10-12 (HTR-) Always Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - 05/2023]

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the R10 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the R6 outer mirror actuator assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R10-16 (TRN+) - R6-16 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      R10-12 (HTR-) - R6-12 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  7. INSPECT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    2. Inspect the side turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023] 

  8. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the front turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    2. Inspect the front turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023] 

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P26 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the S9 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R9-20 (TRNI) - P26-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω
      R9-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  10. INSPECT FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH 
    1. Remove the front multiplex network door ECU LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH - OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the S9 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the S6 outer mirror actuator assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S10-16 (TRN+) - S6-16 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      S10-12 (HTR-) - S6-12 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  12. INSPECT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    2. Inspect the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023] 

  13. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the front turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023]

    2. Inspect the front turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023] 

  14. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light lens and body RH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear combination light lens and body RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  15. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the X69 rear combination light lens and body RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the P26 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P26-5 (TRNR) - X69-4 (TRN) Always Below 1 Ω
      X69-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  16. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light lens and body LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear combination light lens and body LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [07/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [07/2020 - ]

  17. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the X70 rear combination light lens and body LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the P26 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P26-11 (TRNL) - X70-4 (TRN) Always Below 1 Ω
      X70-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
