DTC B1321: Lost Communication with EMV [07/2020 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (NAVIGATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if navigation system DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2022 - 05/2023]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Navigation system DTCs are not output. A
      Navigation system DTCs are output. B

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2020 - 05/2023]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 4 GLOBAL CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

    *a Rear view of wire harness connector
    (to No. 4 Global CAN Junction Connector)
    1. Disconnect the No. 4 global CAN junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P116-8 - P116-19 Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 4 GLOBAL CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

    *a Rear view of wire harness connector
    (to No. 4 Global CAN Junction Connector)
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P116-11 - P116-22 Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 200 Ω or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NO. 4 GLOBAL CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    NG

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 4 GLOBAL CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)

    (to Combination Meter Assembly Connector)
    1. Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Reconnect the P116 No. 4 global CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P26-10 (TX+) - P26-9 (TX-) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 4 GLOBAL CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR)

    (to Radio Receiver Assembly Connector)
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Reconnect the P116 No. 4 global CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P46-5 (CNH1) - P46-6 (CNL1) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 - 05/2023] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
