Removal [04/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to PRECAUTION [06/2014 - 10/2016] , or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [09/2020 - ]

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2014 - 08/2015] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2016 - 10/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2020 - ]

  5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2020 - ]

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2020 - ]

  7. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 1 STIFFENER CUSHION 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2020 - ]

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [04/2013 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [10/2016 - 09/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2020 - ]

  10. REMOVE DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR 
    1. Check that the engine switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Disconnect the connector from the door side airbag sensor.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      1. Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)

      2. Push down the white housing lock again and disconnect the connector.
        NOTE:

        Do not push down the part (A) shown in the illustration when disconnecting the connector.

    4. Remove the bolt and door side airbag sensor from the front door panel.

      NOTE:

      Loosen the bolt while holding the door side airbag sensor because the door side airbag sensor pin (stopper) is easily damaged.

    5. After disconnecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.
