Reassembly [09/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ROCKER PANEL LOWER MOULDING 
    1. Engage the 10 claws.

    2. Install the screw.
    3. Install the rocker panel lower moulding with the 10 clips.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 SIDE MUDGUARD PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When installing the No. 2 side mudguard protector, heat the rocker panel moulding assembly using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    Item Temperature
    Rocker Panel Moulding Assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rocker panel moulding assembly excessively.

    1. Clean the rocker panel moulding assembly.
      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the rocker panel moulding assembly.
      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the No. 2 side mudguard protector installation area.
      NOTE:
      • Use a clean brush or felt.
      • Do not touch the rocker panel moulding assembly until the primer has dried.
    3. Remove the release paper from a new No. 2 side mudguard protector.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Install the No. 2 side mudguard protector as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Press the No. 2 side mudguard protector firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When installing the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the rocker panel moulding assembly using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    WARNING:

    4. Install the 2 No. 1 rocker panel moulding protectors as shown in the illustration.

      Press the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  4. INSTALL NO. 3 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When installing the No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the rocker panel moulding assembly using a heat light.

      *A for Type A *B for Type B

      HINT: 

      Press the No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR 

    HINT: 

    When installing the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the rocker panel moulding assembly using a heat light.
