DTC B1500: Fuel Sender Open Detected [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

1. Use the Data List to check if the fuel receiver gauge is operating properly (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2017 - 08/2019] ).

   The fuel amount value displayed on the Techstream is almost the same as the needle indication.

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2019] )

NG

1. Disconnect the G3 meter connector.
2. Disconnect the S4 plate connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G3-9 (L) - S4-2	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G3-23 (E) - S4-3
   G3-21 (E2) - Body ground
   G3-9 (L) or S4-2 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Remove the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] ).

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   A-3 - B-3

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
