Removal [08/2021 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE OUTER MIRROR
- Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
Protective Tape Move in this Direction - Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the lower part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.
- Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
Protective Tape Move in this Direction - Push the lower part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
- Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.
- Disengage the clamp.
- Disconnect the 2 mirror heater connectors.
- for Driver Side:
- Disengage the claw and clamp.
- Release the tabs of the EC mirror connector and disconnect the EC mirror connector.NOTE:
- Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.
- If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror with a new one.
- Disengage the claw and clamp.
- Release the tabs of the blind spot monitor indicator connector and disconnect the blind spot monitor indicator connector.NOTE:
- Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.
- If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly with a new one.
- Disengage the claw and clamp.
- for Front Passenger Side:
- Disengage the claw and clamp.
- Release the tabs of the blind spot monitor indicator connector and disconnect the blind spot monitor indicator connector.NOTE:
- Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.
- If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly with a new one.
- Disengage the claw and clamp.
- Remove the outer mirror.
- Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
