Removal [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR 
    1. Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

      Move in this Direction
    2. Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the lower part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

    4. Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

    5. Push the lower part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
    6. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

    7. Disengage the clamp.

    8. Disconnect the 2 mirror heater connectors.
    9. for Driver Side:
      1. Disengage the claw and clamp.

      2. Release the tabs of the EC mirror connector and disconnect the EC mirror connector.
        NOTE:
        • Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.
        • If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror with a new one.
      3. Disengage the claw and clamp.

      4. Release the tabs of the blind spot monitor indicator connector and disconnect the blind spot monitor indicator connector.
        NOTE:
        • Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.
        • If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly with a new one.
    10. for Front Passenger Side:
      1. Disengage the claw and clamp.

      2. Release the tabs of the blind spot monitor indicator connector and disconnect the blind spot monitor indicator connector.
        NOTE:
        • Do not bend the tabs excessively to prevent them from being damaged.
        • If the tabs are damaged, replace the outer mirror actuator assembly with a new one.
    11. Remove the outer mirror.
