Removal [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (for HV Model) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the front side and rear side.

    2. Disengage the 8 claws and 2 guides to remove the front door scuff plate LH as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 
    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the claw and clip to remove the cowl side trim board LH as shown in the illustration.
  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws to remove the front door opening trim cover LH as shown in the illustration.

  7. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Apply protective tape around the front pillar garnish assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Protective Tape
    2. Pull the upper part of the front pillar garnish assembly LH toward the inside of the cabin to disengage the clip and the front pillar garnish assembly LH from the base of the front pillar garnish clip.

      HINT: 

      Let the front pillar garnish assembly LH hang from the front pillar garnish clip.

    3. While pushing the tabs of the front pillar garnish clip as shown in the illustration, disengage it.

      HINT: 

      When the front pillar garnish clip cannot be disengaged easily:

      1. While pushing the tab of the front pillar garnish clip shown in the illustration with your finger, move the front pillar garnish clip in the direction shown in the illustration.

      2. While pulling the front pillar garnish clip as shown in the illustration, push the tab of the front pillar garnish clip shown in the illustration with a screwdriver and disengage the front pillar garnish clip.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front pillar garnish assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

    5. Remove the front pillar garnish clip and clip from the front pillar garnish assembly LH.
    6. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

      *1 Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly LH
      *a Protective Cover
      *b Adhesive Tape
      1. Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover, such as a cloth, and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish assembly LH is removed.

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Gasoline Model) 
    1. Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

    1. Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 7 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear door scuff plate LH as shown in the illustration.

  10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH 
    1. Pull the center pillar lower garnish LH in the directions indicated by the arrows (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 claws (A).

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    4. Pass the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar upper garnish LH and remove the center pillar upper garnish LH.
    5. Remove the clip from the center pillar upper garnish LH.
  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH RH

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for all assist grip assemblies.

    1. Insert SST into the cutout of the assist grip cover LH as shown in the illustration.

      • SST: 09813-00010 
      NOTE:

      To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to insert SST straight into the cutout.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    2. Pull SST as shown in the illustration to disengage the claw.
      NOTE:

      To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to only pull SST as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      • Use the same procedure for the claw on the other side of the assist grip cover LH.
      • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
    3. Remove the assist grip cover LH.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    4. Disengage the 2 clips as shown in the illustration to remove the assist grip assembly.

    5. Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
  33. REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the assist grip assembly.

  35. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER (for LH Side) 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Pull the visor assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disconnect it from the visor holder.

    3. Pull the visor assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to remove it.

    1. Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and remove it as shown in the illustration.

    1. Disengage the 4 claws to separate the grommet.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the 5 bolts and front door sub-assembly RH.

      NOTE:

      To prevent damage, when removing the front door sub-assembly RH, make sure that there are enough people available to hold it securely.

  42. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Windshield Glass Side:
      1. Disconnect each connector.
    2. for Front Pillar LH Side:
      1. Remove the protective cover.
      2. Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clamps.

      3. Install the protective cover.
    3. for Front Pillar RH Side:
      1. Remove the protective cover.
      2. Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clamps.

      3. Disengage each claw.
      4. Install the protective cover.
    4. for Rear Pillar LH Side:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      3. Slide the roof headlining assembly to disengage it from the guide as shown in the illustration.

      3. Slide the roof headlining assembly to disengage it from the guide as shown in the illustration.
