DTC C1A75-87: Steering Vibrator System Missing Message [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 08/2021]

2. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [06/2018 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Disconnect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
4. Using an oscilloscope, measure the waveform at G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Measurement Condition

   Tester Connection	Condition	Tester Range
   G81-1 (LDA) - Body ground	Engine switch on (IG)	5 V/DIV., 1 ms/DIV.

   NOTE:

   The oscilloscope waveform is for reference only and does not include noise, fluctuations, etc.

   OK

   A waveform similar to that in the illustration can be observed.

5. Connect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to

1. Disconnect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

3. Connect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE)

OK

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Disconnect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G81-2 (EHT) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

4. Connect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPLACE STEERING VIBRATION ECU. Refer to  COMPONENTS [06/2018 - ]

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Disconnect the P5 forward recognition camera connector.
3. Disconnect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G81-1 (LDA) - P5-2 (STRV)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G81-1 (LDA) or P5-2 (STRV) - Body ground	Engine switch off	10 kΩ or higher

5. Connect the G81 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
6. Connect the P5 forward recognition camera connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  COMPONENTS [06/2018 - ]
