DTC C1A46: Yaw Rate Sensor [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Read the DTCs following the prompts on the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are not output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2018 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. RECHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      No DTCs are output. A
      DTC C1A46 is output ("Blind Spot Monitor Master"). B
      DTC C1A46 is output ("Blind Spot Monitor Slave"). C

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]
