NOTE:

When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
Before preforming this procedure, check for Meter / Gauge System DTC B1500-13 or B1501-13* which is stored if an open or short in the circuit is detected. If DTC B1500-13 or B1501-13* is output, perform troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.

HINT:

When the fuel level drops below the following amount, the fuel level warning light illuminates.

for 2WD: 9.1 liters (9.6 US qts, 8.0 Imp. qts).
for AWD: 8.3 liters (8.8 US qts, 7.3 Imp. qts).
