Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch is turned off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an SRS part is accidentally deployed, it may cause a serious injury.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  3. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [10/2020 - 07/2022]

  6. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip.
  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [10/2020 - 07/2022]

  8. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP 
    1. Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
  9. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Disengage the claws and guide to remove the lap belt outer anchor cover as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  10. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

  11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41 [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 41 [10/2020 - 07/2022]

  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2020 - 07/2022]

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut to disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock to disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts.

    5. Disengage the guides to remove the front seat outer belt assembly.
  14. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER 
    1. Disengage the claw to remove the front seat belt retractor cover.
