Installation [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH
1. Temporarily install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly LH to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly LH and rear suspension member sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
  NOTE:
  - Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.
  - Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the rear of the vehicle.
TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)

Temporarily install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH to the rear suspension member sub-assembly with the No. 2 camber adjust cam, rear suspension toe adjust cam sub-assembly and nut.

NOTE:

Insert the rear suspension toe adjust cam sub-assembly from the front of the vehicle.
When tightening the nut, keep the rear suspension toe adjust cam sub-assembly from rotating.

INSTALL REAR TRACTION MOTOR WITH TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)
Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2020 - ]
TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)
HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
INSTALL REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR RH (for RH Side)
HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

STABILIZE SUSPENSION

INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)
HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

Install the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 73 N.m 744 kgf/cm 54 ft.lbf

NOTE:

Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)

Install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH (rear axle carrier sub-assembly LH side) with the bolt.

Torque: 73 N.m 744 kgf/cm 54 ft.lbf

NOTE:

Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)
HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
INSTALL REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Height Control Sensor)

INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - ]

FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)

Lower the vehicle to the ground.
Bounce the vehicle up and down at the corners to stabilize the rear suspension.

Align the matchmarks on the No. 2 camber adjust cam, rear suspension toe adjust cam sub-assembly and rear suspension member sub-assembly.

Matchmark

Fully tighten the nut.
Torque: 100 N.m 1020 kgf/cm 74 ft.lbf
NOTE:
- Hold the rear suspension toe adjust cam sub-assembly while rotating the nut.
- Make sure that the vehicle is unloaded when fully tightening the nut.

FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)
HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

PERFORM CALIBRATION (w/ Parking Assist Monitor System)

INITIALIZATION HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2020 - ]
