Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
- After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- When replacing the auxiliary battery, use a new auxiliary battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 51 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.
- After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
- REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX
- REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
- Disengage the clamp to separate the auxiliary battery hose.
- Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]
- Disengage the clamp to separate the auxiliary battery hose.
- REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY
- Disengage the claw and open the battery terminal cap shown in the illustration.
Open - Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Disconnect the auxiliary battery hose.
- Remove the bolt, nut and battery clamp sub-assembly.
- Remove the auxiliary battery from the vehicle shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction
- Disengage the claw and open the battery terminal cap shown in the illustration.
