Removal [07/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [07/2022 - ]

    • When replacing the auxiliary battery, use a new auxiliary battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 51 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.
  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Pull up the webbing and disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the clip and guide to remove the No. 2 deck board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and 3 guides to remove the luggage compartment trim box.

  4. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 
    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the clip and 2 guides to remove the deck floor box RH.
  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Disengage the clamp to separate the auxiliary battery hose.

    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2022 - ]

  6. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Disengage the claw and open the battery terminal cap shown in the illustration.

      Open
    2. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    3. Disconnect the auxiliary battery hose.

    4. Remove the bolt, nut and battery clamp sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the auxiliary battery from the vehicle shown in the illustration.
