Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  3. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the fusible link cover.

    2. Loosen the nut.

    3. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    4. Disengage the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal from the auxiliary battery.
    5. Remove the battery insulator from the auxiliary battery.

    6. Remove the bolt and No. 2 battery clamp.

    7. Remove the auxiliary battery from the vehicle.
