Rear Motor Generator Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (REAR HYBRID MOTOR CONTROL INVERTER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the rear hybrid motor control inverter assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N56-10 (PCNH) - N56-11 (PCNL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (REAR HYBRID MOTOR CONTROL INVERTER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N56-1 (GNR1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      N56-7 (GNR2) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to Rear Hybrid Motor Control Inverter Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      N56-6 (+BR1) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      N56-13 (+BR2) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR HYBRID MOTOR CONTROL INVERTER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
