Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F60-21 (CA1H) - F60-8 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
      F60-7 (CA3P) - F60-20 (CA3N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      F59-27 (BATT) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      F60-35 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK ECU POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
    1. Check the ECU power source circuit.

      Refer to ECU Power Source Circuit [10/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG
