DTC P0A94-9E: DC/DC Converter Stuck On; DTC P0D3319: DC/DC Converter Circuit Current Above Threshold [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control and Motor Generator / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Powertrain > Motor Generator > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P0A949E or P0D3319 only is output, or DTCs except the ones in the table below are also output. A

      HINT: 

      • P0A949E or P0D3319 may be output as a result of the malfunction indicated by the DTCs above.
        1. The chart above is listed in inspection order of priority.
        2. Check DTCs that are output at the same time by following the listed order. (The main cause of the malfunction can be determined without performing unnecessary inspections.)
      • If DTC P0A949E is output, replace the inverter with converter assembly after completing repairs.
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2018 - ]

  2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA AND DIAGNOSIS RELATED INFORMATION 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Motor Generator / Utility / Diagnosis Related Information.

      Powertrain > Motor Generator > Utility

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Motor Generator / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Motor Generator > Trouble Codes 

    5. Read the diagnosis related information and freeze frame data of DTC P0A949E or P0D3319.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC P312487 is listed in Diagnosis Related Information. A
      DTC P312487 is not listed in Diagnosis Related Information and the value of freeze frame data item Emergency Shutdown Signal is ON. B
      Other than above C
    6. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (P312487). Refer to  DTC P3124-1F: Lost Communication between Drive Motor "A" and HV ECU Circuit Intermittent; DTC P312487: Lost Communication between Drive Motor "A" and HV ECU Missing Message [10/2018 - ]

  3. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Motor Generator / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read the freeze frame data of DTC P0A949E or P0D3319.

  11. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA 
    1. Read the freeze frame data for DTC P0A949E or DTC P0D3319.
      NOTE:

      As freeze frame data is stored immediately before and after a DTC is stored, make sure to only read the values for the moment the DTC was stored ("0(s)").

    2. Turn the power switch off.
