Inspection [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

- INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SATELLITE SWITCH SET)
- Inspect the "Normal" or "Normal/Custom" mode switch:
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (NORM) - 7 (GND) "Normal" or "Normal/Custom" mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω "Normal" or "Normal/Custom" mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set).

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Inspect the "Sport" or "S/S+" mode switch:
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 (SPSW) - 7 (GND) Combination switch assembly knob turned and held at "Sport" or "S/S+" position Below 1 Ω Combination switch assembly knob not turned to "Sport" or "S/S+" position 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set).

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Inspect the "Eco" mode switch:
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 6 (ECU) - 7 (GND) Combination switch assembly knob turned and held at "Eco" position Below 1 Ω Combination switch assembly knob not turned to "Eco" position 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set).

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Inspect the illumination:
- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set) and check that the switch illuminates.
OK
Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 8 (ILL-)Illuminates If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (satellite switch set).
